I have been exploring a bit more of the crafting market in Hong Kong.  In my previous days when I worked in central, I used to buy things on Pottinger street…but then, I discovered Sham Shui Po!  Beads…fabrics…and take a look at this Ribbon shop(there are many others!). And they are SUPER reasonable. I bought a bag full of embroidered ribbons etc…and they were just HKD180(US$23)- amazingly cheap.  Maybe I should start selling Ribbon on my site??? I also found a resourceful article on where to go.  Also, I was recommended to goto another crafty place in Causeway Bay called Tailor and Alterations (467 Hennesy Road, 14F). I was amazed to see how many Japanese crafty books were hidden in this densely packed store.  I am sure there is a lot more to discover..but this was my recent finding and I wanted to share this with you!

Had a not so traditional baby shower for my very good friend, Mika(and Jonathan)!  If you have never been to 208 in Hong Kong, you must–especially if you are craving a good pizza(my favorite is the Diablo for those who love spicy pizza).  The room on the 2F by the window was a nice private space to have..with beautiful tiles!..and we had a fabulous time.  Note these fabulous cookies were made by Mika to thank her friends (I tried to help but..think I need more practice!!!). The blueberry tarts were something she also made especially for everyone (they are currently referring to the baby as Blueberry)! Congratulations to you both- can’t wait to meet the little Blueberry soon!!!!

Made the diaper cake….a bit of a challenge finding elastic bands, but managed to make it. Like the confetti? Took a while punching them but loved the shapes of bears, stollers, footstep, baby bottles etc.

My beautiful friend from highschool, Naoko makes beautiful jewelry.  She handmakes the precious pieces (takes custom made orders as well) so I thought I would brag about her today  The name of the brand is “Like a Deer”.  She has been there in various parts of our lives from making our wedding band (as well as many of our friend’s!), a ring celebrating the birth of our daughter, the launch of the business…and many more.  Here are some of her beautiful work (she is working on her website at the moment- and will be sure to post you once its done!).  She used to distribute some of her collections through Beams or American Rag Cie but now decided to go more “personal”.  If you are interested in her work, you can contact her at  like_a_deer@yahoo.co.jp. A customer who bought our Frinje Hoodie (by Moi) just sent a photo of her daughter wearing Moi’s Hoodie jacket that they loved it! Made me so happy I just wanted to post the photo. Doesn’t it look like she is having fun dancing(Saturday Night Fever!?) !? Love it! ♡

We are truly excited to be in Monocle magazine(global magazine from the UK) this month for co zen.  If you have not heard of Monocle, it is a wonderful magazine that covers a wide perspective of topics- from World Affairs, Design, Culture etc. It is an amazing magazine(and you can also download the Monocle Weekly on itunes).

We bought LIKEaBIKE for our daughter..and she LOVES it. What a great vehicle- with no pedals, it helps kid’s motor skills and develop their sense of balance(and great design!). Take a look at the little cute pouch she got, too(think she is sticking in candies or something like that…). Maybe we will take her to the country park this weekend. WHHHEeeeeee!!!!!　Have a great weekend. ox

We received a gift from our friend Azusa- and it was such a sweet and thoughtful gift that I wanted to share with you. It was a soap from Message in a soap!  The soap smells wonderful and our daughter now LOVES to wash her hands and I constantly see the kids who come over for playgroup fighting for the soap!!  Their concept is all about having “yummy” items. It looks like they also carry scrubs….would love to go there when back in Japan and get more♡

Zozio is in and the key colour for the fall winter are black and navy. Take a look at the adorable yet cool pieces…along with some mother’s (or not mother..ADULT’s pieces!).  I personally love both the leggings and the pantalloons.
