Hong Kong’s Pottinger street is filled with little shops that sells costumes..so if you are looking to buy something last minute, this would be a great place for you to get something fun.
We baked some cookies (little one helped? by licking the icing!)
After much discussion, and convincing that Dopey (the little dwarf from Snow White)’s costume is unavailable, she agreed to be Strawberry Shortcake (think the pink long wig did it although it was sold out in so many shops!). A happy face. Happy Halloween!
Koh Samui
We went to Koh Samui, Thailand a few weeks ago. How lucky are we, that there is a direct flight from Hong Kong and we can get there in about 3 hours (so important when traveling with kids!). It rained most of the time, but the villa resort was so wonderful that we were just happy to be there.
As we checked in…there was a bear with our daughter’s name welcoming her. Needless to say, she was ecstatic!
Mommy I want to swim!
Entrance to the kids centre where its filled with activities from coconut painting, afternoon movies with popcorn. Ideal place to drop off kids and Mommy goes to….the SPA!!!
busy doing something- back and forth back and forth with that bucket… the water was gorgeous even on a cloudy day. I can’t imagine what its like on a sunny day!
It seemed like every hour, the staff would bring something to the beach…from fresh juice made out of some exotic fruit, mini popsicles..or here they are making S’mores. I had forgotten about them- it was so much fun!
Napo in good evening!
Here is a cute photo of my friend’s son, Napoleon (aka Napo) wearing good evening’s cardigan. Had to put it up…way too cute! And he just modeled for Milk Japon and will attach one of the photos. Love love love!
Introducing tipitipi from Spain!
Its about time- I had so many requests to increase more items for newborn/babies..and something that can be worn by boys, too! So here you go!!! So glad that the designer, Victoria who is a mother of 3 boys living in the beautiful Canary Islands and I connected and I found this precious yet very AFFORDABLE items that can be offered from Storytime!!!
tipitipi is based on sweetness, warmth and joy of a child, that has focused for top quality cotton, and strives to meet a high standard finishing with responsible manufacturing. The designs are unisex made to suit every baby, no matter if it is a boy of a girl. It is made in Spain using a 100% cotton single jersey from Portugal. The woven label is placed outside of the onesies or the tees to it does not irritate the baby’s skin (very very thoughtful!).
Make sure to check out to Soft Toys, too. LOVE the stitching!
It looks like he just spilled the secret, “tipitipi is at Storytime~~!! oops”. The soft toys are on the left side and it can be tied on the crib. Victoria kindly gave us the gray tree version (the stitching is amazing!) and we have it hanging on our daughter’s door knob. She was so happy to see the yellow – Muchisima Gracias, Victoria!! ox
Happy Note from Colorado
I was delighted to receive this photo from Maia, our customer in Colorado today. Her daughter Q(QiuQiu) looks so adorable in our Lola suit by Wovenplay. And it made me so happy that she looks like she is having fun with the guitar/uklele! Maybe she is having a creative moment in this outfit!?
There are so many beautiful photos of her life in Colorado and the travels here. Love those photos of Q with her top..is that a scarf??? What a fabulous idea- I need to try that on our daughter with my scarf, too.I also discovered that Maia is an artist/illustrator. Take a look at her beautiful work by clicking here.I couldn’t help but order some of her beautiful illustration work already! Already thinking about how to frame it.
Maia&Q- Thank you for making me very very happy! I am ecstatic that our two worlds got connected this way despite the distance.

Hong Kong Rocks for Education- Giving back event in Hong Kong tonight!
A bit unusual from my usual posts but here is a great event being held tonight in Hong Kong called, “Hong Kong Rocks for Education”. This is for a great cause – raising fund for scholarships for the Asian University for Women(AUW)in Bangladesh. AUW is the first regional, liberal arts institution in South Asia which prepares women of high potential to become thoughtful and ethical leaders through a rigorous liberal arts curriculum. The other great thing is there will be TONS great LIVE music. Tickets are HKD1000(includes food, drinks and live music), but there will be no other request for you to make the donation (ex. raffles and auction). Also, hubby’s band Witchdoctor will play! Hope to see you there!
On Bloesem Kids!
SO excited to be covered on the “Mom Story” on Bloesem Kids- this is a wonderful and beautiful blog that has had me trapped!!! It is all about design for kids, and Irene Hoofs, the author of the blog is from Amsterdam but lives in Kuala Lumpur. Never thought our lives would be on it…but here you go. Truly honoured!
A little great stylist in Hong Kong ;-)
I just had to put this photo up of Sally that her mother sent me recently. Sally coordinated the total look on her own- what a great stylist!!!! She coordinated our Frill Sleeves Knit by good evening and our Roman Sandals by Peep! I’ll need to let the designers know, too. Chihiro- thank you so much for sending this in (especially as it gives the others more ideas of what the items look like if worn by other kids!). ox
